I am an award-winning writer/editor who has logged thousands of hours behind the computer honing the craft that has been my profession for nearly three decades. In 2021, I realized a lifelong dream by leaving the 9-to-5 office environment to launch my own full-time, freelance writing/editing business specializing in health care, science, research and radiology.

As a journalist, I have strong experience writing breaking news stories, features, press releases and in-depth, multi-source articles on complex, technical topics for print and online publications. As an editor, my experience runs the gamut from managing a group of community newspapers to overseeing an international radiology magazine covering a range of science, research and health care issues. I have supervised dozens of writers at every stage of their career — from intern to seasoned journalist — and learned from each one of them in the process.

My writing/editing portfolio includes Argonne News, (Argonne National Laboratories), Health Facilities Management (the American Hospital Association), RSNA News, the Daily Bulletin (the Radiological Society of North America), Pioneer Press/Sun-Times News Group, the Chicago Tribune, and Food For Thought (the Greater Chicago Food Depository).

My work has been recognized by respected organizations including the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE), including a Silver Award for Best Technical article for Health Facilities Management, and the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP).

I welcome the opportunity to add new publications — and topics — to my portfolio.
